A SIMIT software request should identify the product, version and type of purchase. Use the details below when asking about a new license or an update.
Identify the software item
Send the complete Siemens order number if you have it. Keep any suffixes and option references from the source document. If the reference is incomplete, state which details are missing instead of guessing them.
Add the software name and required version. A product family name alone may not identify the license you need.
Describe the existing installation
For an update request, include the current SIMIT version and the existing license reference. Describe the software environment in which it will be used and state the change you are planning.
If a version or license condition is essential to the purchase, ask for confirmation in the quotation. Do not assume that different versions or license types are interchangeable.
State the quantity and purchase requirement
Specify the number of licenses and whether the request is for a new license or an update. If several items are needed, list each reference and quantity on a separate line.
In the inquiry form, include your company, email address and a message describing the requirement. Put any version or licensing question in that message so it can be addressed with the quotation.
